Weekend Work Update

Happy New Year! We spent the weekend repairing equipment and stretching 1,000 feet of wire in the vineyard.

Fun Fact: The yellow bottle in the third picture produces a flame that is 3,670°F, which allows us to bend a piece of metal back into position; it was damaged while digging holes for the vineyard trellis posts.

SC Century Farm Designation

Kay Farm was recently designated as a South Carolina Century Farm! It is an honor to be recognized as a working farm that has remained in the same family ownership since 1885. This designation is a tribute to our family who settled in this area and shared in the development of the community. We take pride in our work and those who came before us to lay the foundation for Kay Farm. Everything that we do is to honor the legacy that the Kay family left behind.

Vineyard Update 12/2

Glad the rain held off today so we could put some work in on the vineyard! We planted 40 new muscadine vines, bringing our total to 70. Plans to install additional posts and plant more vines are in the works. Stay tuned!
