About Us

Kay Farm is a family business that grows agricultural products and raises livestock, situated in Belton, SC along Broadway Creek. The farm has been used for agricultural, horticultural and livestock operations by the Kay family since the early 1920s, initially by William Oscar Kay and his son J. Rhett Kay, who later passed it down to his six children, Sara, J.R., Charles, Fred, Barbara and Lucretia. Since the passing of Fred in 2020, fifth generation farmers Patrick and Adam have continued operating Kay Farm.

The Kay family first moved to present day Anderson County, SC in 1792 when they purchased land on the 1776 Land Grant Act, and have been farming in Anderson County ever since.
